it’s raining…

but it’s not pouring.  it’s just a little shower!!

a young man from our church is getting married later this month so on monday, we “showered” his new bride to be.  about 17 friends of the groom’s mom hosted the shower.  their wedding colors are purple and daffodil yellow so we used those colors for decorating.

ginnie, sue and mary coordinated to put together these beautiful floral arrangements.

  this lovely basket was filled with “plantable” ones!  what a great way to get a little flower garden started.

each of the guest tables had some lovely little purple flowered plants (can you tell i don’t know anything about flowers….but am a huge appreciator of them!)

more beautiful flowers on the serving table.  this pic was taken before all the delicious salads were brought out.  salad and more salad.  so yummy!  and sharon made home made bread rolls to compliment the salads.  is your mouth watering yet?!?

there is carin’s ruffle cake.  how fun is that?  2 scrumptious layers of chocolate and 2 tasty layers of white cake.  thankfully deb agreed to cut this baby so i didn’t have to!  i’ve put my request in for a pink one.  🙂 you’re surprised right?  i know.  i’m so predictable.

cynthia and rosanne made these wonderful cookies!  aren’t they just the cutest?  shhhh….don’t tell anyone but they tasted even better than they look!

if you look closely you can see my contribution (CAKE POPS!)  next to the coffee cup.  i used a butter pecan cake and cream cheese frosting.  can you say yum?
