How do you disinfect your whole house?

19 Dec

Ugh. 2 out of 3 sick kids. 2 out of 4 adults sick. 7 days until christmas at my house. Assuming everyone gets well in time, do I dare host christmas for 30 odd people ( not that the people are odd, the number 30 is a rounded number). Although some of the people ARE actually odd but we won’t name names…. Or will we?

And if that wasn’t enuf fun for you, I get to go to the dentist again. 2 cracked teeth and a loose filling. I haven’t told my dentist about the loose filling. It will be my little christmas gift for him.

Gads that is crabby sounding. Must slip on a new attitude and greet the day. I have plenty of time to pick out just the right shade of attitude since its only 4 am. Oops a little crabby slipped in again!

And seriously, what do I do abt christmas?

Once we were on the mend, one parent would warm up the car, bundle us up and take us for a drive, while the other stayed home and “Lysol”ed all surfaces, with the heat turned off and the doors and windows open. After a while we’d head home to find the windows being closed and the heat warming the place up, and everything smelled antiseptic. Also, new toothbrushes all around- cheaper than a copay. Even if the house wasn’t germ -free, we all felt like it was clean again and not “sicky funk”. Just breathing the fresh air in the house and on the road, made us feel like we were well again. Good luck. and Merry Christmas!

Sounds like a plan Roxanne … And a nicer memory for you than the memory of the actual sickness.

chill – it’ll all work out and if needs to be postponed – that’s a fact of life and OK. we’ll all be together in spirit and love. Hope all are well soon.
