sewing day results:

23 May

as predicted and perhaps even planned,  i didn’t accomplish much on saturday.  i did get some prep work done tho so it was a grand day after all!

audrey completed her 1st quilt project except for the binding (which she is working on now).  she also made a little pillow to go with it.

after getting her started, i prepped several (6-8) soft books.  this bunch is ready to sew and turn. and i have a couple that are ready for the fusible fleece to be added and then pinned, and then sewn.  yea me!  and that wraps it up.  see, it doesn’t seem like much, but when i sit down to sew that pile, it’s gonna be like greased lightening!

and SUNDAY everyone left.  scott was playing elmer fudd for a couple of days, the big boys had an overnighter at the other grands, and carin, scottie and liam took off shopping and visiting.  what’s a girl to do when she’s got an empty house?  why, leave of course!

i went to the clubhouse and sewed on an unfinished project (one of many if you recall) AND while i was piecing, i was also EMBROIDERING my BOM stuff!  each month i get the goods for 8 blocks.  i had 2 months worth staring at me.  shooting guilty lasers.  even bad talking to me.  well, unfortunately due to the lightening storm that passed through this afternoon, i did not get them all done, but i got all but 4 done.  🙂  go me!

i also conned scott into picking rhubarb for me (i’m quite certain that snakes like rhubarb and are”in the patch”. …. i don’t have any actual experience with this, but i’m convinced of it.) and i put up 12 cups in the freezer.  no, i didn’t bake anything amazing.  sigh.  i would not have been able to not eat it.  so……we have enuf rhubarb for one and a half batches of gramcrackers rhubarb raspberry jam.  to be made later….when i find some self control.  🙂

Wow – look at you go Audrey. 🙂 I’m very impressed. Can’t wait to see your next project.

And Kay……those blocks actually don’t look half bad…..perhaps you were right to go with them rather than the HIYH…just sayin’…..
