celebrate read across america!

3 Mar

today at pre-school, ian had a party to celebrate dr. seuss’ birthday.  they got to wear pajama’s to school.  how fun!  i love pajama days.

we made rice krispie book worms for ian to take to the party:

carin found the idea in a family fun magazine.

regular rice krispie recipe, googlie eyes, pipe cleaners and fruit roll ups.

and ian got to purchase a book to gift to miss donna too.

carin wrote a little poem with the intention of presenting the worms on a little green leaf with the poem written on it.  we ran out of time…….but here’s the poem for you to enjoy:

celebrate dr. seuss’ birthday

with a little bookworm

for each child to enjoy

while reading a story, waiting for the page to turn

lotsa worms.  lotsa fun.  lotsa reading.  🙂
