another friday field trip

11 Aug

already? yeah, well, time flies yada yada yada….

this time we “zoo’d it”.

since we start almost every day with ZABOOMAFOO, we naturally made our way to this guy:zoo1 look guys! it’s a leaping lemur! ian advised me that it was a “STRIPED tail lemur”. duly noted.

zoo2 “nana, i’m not too sure about this. are you sure it’s a good idea?”

zoo3 “nana! look at me ride a gorilla! it’s a good idea. yeah”

zoo4 “ROAR”. giraffe? what giraffe? ROAR. i’m a lion.”

so this is in the rhino pen. it’s a hunk of wood. doesn’t it look like a pig head to you? it did to me. gave me the giggles even. maybe i was having a heat induced hallucination. that hunk of wood is totally smiling. his “eyes” follow you where-ever you move…. fine. i’ll check myself in (again).

zoo6 this is the “museum” part of the zoo. it’s really great. hundred of animals. “unlive ones” . they don’t poop so it smells really nice in here. and it’s cool.

zoo7 “look! nana! we’re on TV!”

zoo8 “okay, nana. this is starting to creep me out”

zoo9 back at the carousel. and yes, i picked the gorilla again!

zoo10 “ok. i guess it’s fun after all.”

zoo so who wants to monkey around with us this friday?

***and in the interest of FAIRNESS , no i have no photo of kaiden sitting in the zoo jeep because he was having NOTHING to do with sitting next to that gorilla.  NOTHING!

I love these “zoo”capades with the boys. They are just too beautiful to 1) be boys; 2) be seen in public; 3) have YOU as their Nana ….. I WANNA BE THEIR NANA !
