customer quilt

17 Apr

this bright little ray of sunshine is courtesy of julie. she made this for her hubby. the straight lines in the tumbling blox was one of the suggested ways to quilt it. the border is a freehand design inspired by a sharon shramber pattern. i love the variagated thread on the back. variagateds are tricky little buggers sometimes but i think it really works this time. i used black on the front as i didn’t want anything to detract from the explosion of colors in the blox. (i feel so martha when i gush!)ย  be sure to click to enlarge the photos so you can gush too!

thanks julie for letting me share your quilt!

I love the Tumbling Blocks pattern. Really like the simple quilting in the blocks. Looks like lots of little packages all tied up in bows! It that the “Not Your Grandmother’s Tumbling Blocks” pattern? I’ve been eyeing that pattern at the LQS!

Beautiful Kay…love the line work in the blocks and the flowing border work.
