early thumper

15 Jan

alright.  i get it.  it’s winter.  frost on the pumpkins whatever.  but this is crazy cold.  i think this morning it is -8 with the windchill.  that’s NUTS. late last night i made a dash up to brookings to pick up daughter #1.  she has a few days off work so offered to come spend time with ian so i could quilt.  pretty sure i put my back out from shivering uncontrollably until the buggy finally warmed up.   and joy oh rapture, the weather people say the really cold stuff is still on it’s way. i just want to snuggle down under a dozen quilts and sip on a steaming cuppa hot chocolate (with or without a spike—i try to be flexible) and read a good book.   alas…..i have work to do.  dangit.

That is cold Kay. I think I would spike the hot chocolate. Hope you get lots of quilting done.

As I always said, Living up north ain’t for sissy’s. But something to make you feel good, I’ve never had to mow my lawn in the winter!!!!
