yesterday i was minding my own business while working at the clubhouse and decided i needed “something”. and a cuppa hot chocolate was just the ticket i needed.

except…..imagine my shock and dismay when i popped in the kitchen to heat up some water.

i just hate mice. i can’t help it. i know they are just little creatures but GET OUT OF MY CLUBHOUSE (if you wanna live that is). i can’t stand their little pointy noses or their twitching whiskers. geez you’d think i made a study of looking at them when in reality i usually i climb on the nearest thing and close my eyes and wait for a white knight to wander by.

huh. so i’m trying to actually grow up. i know i know. what’s the rush. i’m only 47 freakin years old. so i found myself at the dollar general store and they had 2 types of “traps” the snappy one and a glue one. one looked pretty mean (the kind with the snappy thing) but in reality, the mouse will die either way so is one really meaner than the other? i chose the glue one thinking that at least i wouldn’t be harmed by it (the snappy one….possibilities abound with self injury).

the directions said to place it where the mice “run”. how do i know this? it’s not like i saw them. only the “evidence” that a crime had been committed. so i set the traps near the crime scene.

so i wonder why i am procrastinating in going over to the shop. all of a sudden paying bills was very important. and so was laundry. and…. fine i’m going. no matter what i find i’m not going to like it. if there is nothing in the trap, that means it’s still “out there” somewhere. if there is something in the trap, it means i have to do something with it. i tried to buy one of those “extenda arm/hand” things but couldn’t find one. dang it.

where is a freakin’ white knight when you want one?

Oh NOOO!! I’m with you!! Unfortunately when we bought our house we did have to relocate mickey and minny. They run along floor boards and edges mostly. I vote Scott go over. You can also buy a huge trap thing that captures them from kv vet. I was thankful that there were just two and no more have ever appeared…. that I know of 😉

Oh, they have cats……20 or more (minus the one that froze to the shovel last year). I am so surprised that there is even a mouse on the property, let alone inside the club house. Twenty years and no mice and now you have one…..wassup with that sista?
