oh karma, you are an evil wench

3 Dec

so here i sit. i couldn’t leave well enough alone could i? noooo i had to post the cat story.

so today while i was innocently quorking (this is a new word that means both quilting and working. gads). i had christmas music playing and i was singing along and having a gay ol’ time. imagine me screeching avai maria and i saw mamma kissing santa. scares you a bit doesn’t it?!?

i popped in a different cd…..this time it was “christmas songs” by a variety of artists. along comes a song called the “cat carol” by Meryn cadell. oh for cryin in the soup. it’s all about a cat that is cold and no one opens the door for him but it’s christmas eve and along comes a little mouse and the cat tells the mouse that a christmas miracle will happen because….well i forgot that part but anyway, the cat tucks the mouse under his warm fur and then santa and his helpers happen along and find the cat and eventually the mouse and they have to tell the mouse that the cat “didn’t make it” but they will put him in the sky to see every christmas eve. what a ridiculous stupid song.

and it’s ridiculous and stupid that i’m now bawling over it. somebody shake some sense into me!!!!! seriously i need some pills or something. where are my angry women cds?

ROTFL I’m sorry!! But dang that’s funny… how about some Bob Seger… that’s my answer to everything 😉

Damn! Don’t you just hate it when stuff like this happens. I almost cried just reading about it.

My solution: don’t listen to songs with words?

I’ve been listening to DS play all the Christmas classics on his saxophone. Finally, something I can sing along with…much to his displeasure. Bawhaaaa! 😀

Get some of my ‘screaming dying ladies’ CDs and rinse that dead cat right outta your head.

On the flip side…..obviously you needed a good cry and the dead cat song provided the impetis (is that spelled correctly?) to get you a boohooin’.
