there once was a girl with a curl

5 Aug

right in the middle of her forhead.  well, i have no curls but my forehead starts at the top of my head (pointless bit of info for the day).

as you might infer from the most recent daily thought posting, i’m a bit out of sorts.  in fact, knowing me as i do, i’d RUN not walk the other way if i saw me coming.  hard to do to myself because as one of my favorite sayings goes….everywhere i go there i am.  dang it.

i think i morphed a bit as i got more out of sorts.  maybe my head wasn’t always this lumpy and those are actually horns i feel.  that must be why my forehead seems endless.

i also think as i morphed into something with horns,  my truck became a killing machine.  in the many miles i piled on the truck today, i killed 3 birds.  i’ve never killed 3 birds before in all the time i’ve driven.  and it’s not like it was a mass killing either.  several miles separated every incident.  and once i even tried to avoid it (not like i DIDN’T try the other 2 times, there was just no chance…one might have even been a suicide bird as it literally flew into me)

and as i looked over my shoulder at the end of the day all i saw was scorched earth.  when i’m bad i’m really bad.

roadkill is a fact of life. we see dead kangaroos, wallabies and even wombats by the roadside every day.
look on the bright side… least they weren’t pedestrians!

For Pete’s sake, it’s not about the dead animals…’s about the scorched earth and the wake of destruction and all. There’s something deeper here I’m sure. Wouldn’t you know that a man would read this post literally? (love you grapegrower!)

gosh….you guys sounds like an old married couple!!! anyhoo, you’re both right….i think i’m back in sorts. went to bed at 8:30 and slept until 5:30. much better than the 3 hours or so i’ve been getting. and as far as the roadkill goes….i think it was like the “secret” business. i was in such a funk, i attracted destruction-death even. and yes, thankfully it was not pedestrians!

so no worries…today is sunshine and light!
