weekend fun

17 Jul

on saturday sister kelly and i went to the arts festival in brookings. it was hot. so inorder to obtain a couple of napkins to blot our faces, we bought iced coffees and frozen hot chocolates. later it wasn’t so hot so we had onion rings. yum.

this festival has been going on since 1972! that’s a long time folks. since i’m 36** now, i was 1 years old when it started. They get over 400 applications for booths each year. Out of that 200 artists are selected, 40 food vendors, 16 historical and 10 antique vendors. In addition to that there are 3 or 4 stages throughout the park with entertainment talents being showcased.

So here’s a couple shots of the festival:

on the very left of this photo is one of the big stages.

this booth had live performance going on.

and this is the only thing i purchased. NOT the baby, the puzzle stool! I know the pic is blurry. i’ll try to get a better one when the baby comes back to me (his parents took him home! don’t you think that’s rude?)

    He’s getting so BIG!
And you are such a liar! I had to read your ‘age’ and calculate twice. However, if you are 36** then I am 38** and I’m ok with that.

Don’t forget to remove your hard drive before tossing your computers, just in case there is sensitive material on them.
