peg’s quilt

yea! peg’s big quilt is done! it was on the machine for a long time. not because of problems with the quilting but because it takes TIME to live a life ya know?!?

i don’t remember the exact size but it’s a biggie. the batting is warm and white and i’m thinking that peg’s is going to get some great texture when and if the quilt is washed. i love that wrinkly crinkly look don’t you? i used cream thread so had to get creative with the lighting so i could see where i was quilting.  okay, enough of my yammering, you’re just here for the pix, i know.

full on shot (at least as much as i was able to do….too big to hang and my table is full of crap so couldn’t lay it out! grrrr i’m having trouble getting my photos into the post and once i get them in, they are aligning crazy like. seems like if i fill in this area with worthless whining i am able to get them arranged somewhat close to something acceptable.

and the back alrighty then, wasn’t that fun? i bet you wish you could have this much fun at 4:23 in the morning like me. come to think of it, that might be a big part of the problem!

  1. Gorgeous Kay. I love what you did with it.

  2. That is really pretty! She’s going to love it. Now…. 4 something am? What’s up with that? And the fact that I saw a post from you at 3 am?? Sleep is not optional unless you want Ian to learn how to duct tape you to the couch…. not to mention fun with lipstick ;-)

  3. I love it! I want one just like it for my bed as I need a new quilt and have been stuck with what to do. You have inspired me. Do you have a picture of the whole quilt you would share, please? What is the pattern? Your quilting is gorgeous!

  4. Fabulous job Kay! i love the the combination of the feathers and straight lines.

  5. jan-i would really really LOVE to sleep. i’ll send up a smoke signal if ian finds the tape!

carol- its a Thimbleberries pattern called “garden view” in the Orchard Quilts book. their’s is not done in all creams so it looks completely different.

thanks deb & freda. peg likes it so far (she’s only seen pix).

  6. Better be on your toes for that lipstick… in 30 seconds he discovered fingernail polish this morning!! Boy was that a mess!
