Greetings from a Ghost Blogger (aka Sister Sybil)!
We all know how busy Nana Kay is – what with her new job of child-wrangling of TWO grandsons and all. In order to help out (‘cuz I know you guys are checking in and are disappointed that she hasn’t had a chance to write much lately) I’ve once again hacked into her blog. I don’t write as funnily as she does – but those are the breaks!
First, I want to share with you photos from our Cook Island trip. Yes, we just got back from a tropical vacation to the Cook Islands….the one time home of a Survivor series. We actually went to the same islands that they filmed Survivor and had lunch there and swam in the lagoon. It was beautiful! Hopefully you quilter people are interested and enjoy the pictures. And now a weather report from the South Coast of NSW, Australia: It’s been very chilly lately, as we are in the middle of winter here. Daytime temperature has been about 18C (about 65 in USA temps) and nighttime temps about 6C (about 45F). Brrrr! We start the fire most days about 3 pm.

How about the latest challenge that I’m doing? 100 push-up challenge! Does anyone want to join me in this? Check it out at www.hundredpushups.com. I’m doing modified push-ups, on my knees. I’m still pretty chuffed about it though!
Here’s another site that is very interesting: www.pastaqueen.com. This gal has lost 1/2 her body weight and has now written a book, which I plan to pick up when I’m back in the USA in about 7 weeks. Be sure to check out her interactive before, during and after pictures!

And finally, have any of you bought a pair of the Not Your Daughters Jeans? I’ve heard good things about them but they are over $200 here in Australia so I haven’t bought a pair. I tried the NotYourDaughtersJeans website. Sounds like a great idea. I signed up for one of the 10 free pair of jeans they give away each week although I’m sure I don’t know the correct size. If you watch their video, you’ll find all wear a smaller size! One even claims she hadn’t fit into a size 2 since jr high! I didn’t need to hear that.
